If you are experiencing the One UI 8 Beta on the Galaxy S24 series, you may have trouble with Home Up - one of the important modules in the Good Lock suite. Many users have reported that Home Up is not working properly, making it impossible for them to customize the home screen interface. The good news is that Samsung has confirmed this issue and shared a temporary solution.

Last month, Samsung updated Home Up to be compatible with Android 16 and One UI 8, while improving many features such as DIY Home Screen, Edge Panel, and Gesture Settings. However, when deploying One UI 8 Beta to the Galaxy S24, this module lost compatibility, causing the app to stop working.

A user shared on the community that: "The app says it is incompatible with the operating system. It requires an update, but even after updating, I still can't use it." This makes it difficult for many testers to customize the Galaxy interface as they want.

Fortunately, an admin from the Good Lock development team has confirmed the bug and provided a temporary fix: go to Settings > Apps > Good Lock > Storage > Clear Data. Then, reopen the app and Home Up should work normally again. Some users have confirmed that this has helped them solve the problem.

Although this is just a basic troubleshooting step, many people may not have thought of it. In fact, bugs that arise in beta versions are common, and Samsung will definitely release an additional update to completely fix them in the next beta versions or in the official stable version.
