Samsung has just released a new update for the Galaxy S22 series, adding the September 2025 security patch to enhance system safety and stability. Currently, users in Europe have started receiving it, and the patch will soon expand to more regions.

This patch comes with the following software builds:

  • Galaxy S22: S901BXXSIFYI3
  • Galaxy S22 Plus: S906BXXSIFYI3
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra: S908BXXSIFYI3

According to Samsung, this patch addresses a total of 71 security vulnerabilities on Android, including 2 critical bugs and 58 high-level bugs. There are also 25 patches specifically for One UI and a medium-level bug discovered by Samsung's semiconductor division.

In parallel, Samsung is also deploying the official One UI 8 update for many Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S22 trio will receive this major upgrade in October 2025, but the specific release date has not been announced yet.

If you are using a Galaxy S22, you should check and install it as soon as the notification appears to keep your device safe and running smoothly. To update manually, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
