Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8 Beta program, but it is currently only applicable to the Galaxy S25 series. The number of countries participating in the first phase is also less than the previous One UI 7 program. However, it is likely that some other markets will be added in the next phase. After the One UI 8 Beta community page for the Galaxy S23 appeared, a user discovered a similar page for the Galaxy S22 series.
The fact that Samsung has publicly released a community page dedicated to the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra suggests that the testing phase is very close. Previously, the Galaxy S22 Ultra appeared on Geekbench with Android 16, but it is still unclear whether the device is eligible to participate in the One UI 8 Beta program. With this latest move, it can be said that the Galaxy S22 will soon be tested for One UI 8 Beta, possibly even at the same time as the Galaxy S23 series.
Samsung is also planning to release the official version of One UI 8 next month, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 being the first devices to get the platform. There is no specific schedule for other devices yet, but once the stable update is released, the remaining models will be updated quickly.
Although not officially announced, many users believe that this is Samsung's way of making up for the delay of One UI 7 before. And clearly, this move is bringing many positive signals to the Galaxy user community.
