Samsung continues to expand its software upgrade roadmap as the Galaxy M55s and Galaxy F55 have just officially received the stable One UI 8 update, based on Android 16. These are the two latest names to join the list of Galaxy devices receiving major updates in late 2025.

In India, Galaxy M55s users have started receiving One UI 8 with software code M558BXXU2CYJ4, about 2.56GB in size, along with the October 2025 security patch. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F55 also received a similar update, code E556BXXU4CYJ4, about 2.5GB in size.

The update brings a more modern interface, smoother transition effects, and more stable system performance. At the same time, Android 16 improvements make the device more responsive, optimize power management, and bring a more unified user experience across the Galaxy ecosystem.

With this rollout, Samsung has completed the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy M55, M55s, F55, and Galaxy Tab S8, marking a new step in the company's plan to upgrade its mid-range devices simultaneously. The remaining A, M, and F series models are expected to be updated in the coming weeks.

The Galaxy M55s and Galaxy F55 launched with Android 14, with Samsung committing to 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates. With One UI 8, users have now entered the second major Android version and will continue to be supported through Android 18 in the future.

Users can check and install manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install, then select Install once the download is complete. One UI 8 promises to bring a smoother, more refined, and smarter experience than ever for Galaxy users.
