Samsung has now started rolling out the official One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea, while the beta testing continues to expand to mid-range devices. Recently, the Galaxy A55 received the One UI 8 Beta 2, just a few weeks after the first beta was released.
The One UI 8 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy A55 is codenamed ZYI7, weighs in at around 300MB, and focuses on bug fixes and system stability improvements. Samsung says the update fixes the auto-fill password bug, the Always On Display bug when using Smart View Cover, and the camera app crashing in some shooting modes. In addition, the system has also been tweaked to provide a smoother user experience during testing.
In addition to performance patches, One UI 8 Beta 2 on Galaxy A55 also comes with the September Android security patch, which addresses more than 80 security vulnerabilities, many of which are critical. This gives users more peace of mind when experiencing the experimental software before the stable version is released.
Currently, the update has been rolled out to users participating in the One UI 8 Beta program in India and Korea. To check and download, users can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. It is expected that after the testing phase is stable, Galaxy A55 will soon receive the official global One UI 8 version in October.
