After releasing the August 2025 security patch for the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A55, Samsung has officially expanded the update to the Galaxy A54. Currently, the new patch is available in Korea and will soon be deployed in many other regions in the coming days.
The Galaxy A54 was launched in 2023, part of a 5-year security update support roadmap, an impressive number for a mid-range device. The August update, version A546SKSSCDYH1, focuses on improving security with nearly 50 patches. Of which, there are 28 critical vulnerabilities, 1 high-risk vulnerability, and 18 specific issues on Galaxy. Notably, Samsung has fixed a serious bug related to Samsung Account, which allows attackers to disable user accounts.
To check and install, users just need to go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Updating early will help keep your device safer from the latest threats.
While this patch focuses mainly on security, the Galaxy A54 still has one more thing to look forward to: joining the One UI 8 Beta program in September 2025. Samsung launched this program in May with the Galaxy S25 series, then expanded it to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. A54 users can register for an early experience via the Samsung Members app.
One UI 8, a customized platform on Android 16, promises to bring many valuable improvements compared to One UI 7. The interface of applications such as Quick Share and Reminder is redesigned to be more modern, accompanied by smooth transition effects and overall performance is clearly optimized.
