Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8.0 (Android 16) for the Galaxy A35 in South Korea, a week earlier than the previously announced schedule.
The Galaxy A35 and some other devices were only supposed to get the update in the first week of October. However, the update has been rolling out since the end of September, showing that Samsung is speeding up the rollout. The update has version number A356NKSU5CYI8 and is now available for users in South Korea. Users can check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Compared to One UI 7, One UI 8 brings many notable changes. The interface is more streamlined, modern, and intuitive, and a series of new features are added for the camera, communication, data sharing, health monitoring, multitasking, productivity, privacy, and security. These are upgrades that promise to improve the overall user experience for Galaxy A35 users.
According to the roadmap, the Galaxy A35 in Brazil and India will be updated in October, before expanding to many other markets. However, with Samsung releasing early in Korea, it is likely that users in other regions will also soon experience One UI 8 in the near future.
