Adobe Photoshop has long been considered one of the most powerful photo editing and graphic design tools in the world. However, this software is only available on desktop platforms due to its high hardware requirements. Recently, Adobe officially announced the launch of Photoshop on mobile devices, including iPhone and Android.
Although it sounds appealing, the mobile version of Photoshop is not exactly the same as the desktop version. According to Adobe, this is a completely new, free photo editing and design application, with a redesigned interface to optimize the experience on the phone.
This application is not intended to replace the desktop version, especially for professional users who need fully detailed and powerful editing tools on a large screen. Instead, Adobe is targeting mobile content creators, including those who are new to photo editing.
Photoshop for mobile allows users to easily add, delete, adjust, and combine image content. In addition, the application also supports access to the rich content repository of Adobe Stock with many free resources.
Even in the free version, users can enjoy premium features such as full-resolution editing and unlimited layers support. In addition, Adobe offers a premium Photoshop Mobile & Web package with many extended benefits such as cloud sync, additional editing tools, AI-generated Firefly, and more.
Currently, Photoshop for mobile is available on iOS but not yet on Android. This means that Samsung Galaxy phone users will have to wait a while before being able to experience this application. However, Adobe has confirmed that the Android version is coming soon and users can sign up to receive notifications as soon as the official release is available.
