Just days ahead of the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 launch, Samsung has officially unveiled the 2026 edition of its iconic "Over the Horizon" ringtone. This signature melody will come pre-installed across the entire new lineup: the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra.

True to its annual tradition of reimagining the classic tune, Samsung has adopted a sweeping orchestral theme for this year's rendition, dubbed “A Soundtrack of the Earth.” The piece aims to capture the breathtaking beauty of our planet, weaving a musical narrative that bridges the gap between the natural world and modern technology.

Recorded with a full symphony orchestra, the latest iteration delivers a grand, emotionally resonant soundscape. According to Samsung, the composition was crafted to foster a profound sense of connection among humanity, the environment, and today’s digital age.

The creative force behind the 2026 arrangement is Los Angeles-based composer and pianist, Eunike Tanzil. She first caught Samsung’s attention back in February 2024 after sharing her own interpretation of "Over the Horizon" on social media. That viral moment blossomed into a direct collaboration to produce the official track for the S26 series.

The magic happened at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, featuring a sweeping performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Mixed and mastered by audio producer Jonathan Allen in Dolby Atmos, the track promises a deeply immersive, multidimensional listening experience. Every microphone placement was meticulously calculated to capture the most natural acoustics possible.

Over the past few years, Samsung hasn't shied away from genre-hopping with its default ringtone. The 2024 version for the S24 series leaned into traditional Korean instrumentation, while the 2025 edition for the S25 went bold with a modern big band jazz vibe. This 2026 orchestral masterpiece further cements Samsung’s knack for transforming a simple smartphone ringtone into a defining artistic statement for every flagship generation.
