Samsung has just released a new update for LockStar - a module of the Good Lock application suite, for Galaxy devices running One UI 8. This version 7.0.01.9 focuses on fixing many bugs, especially the Always-On Display (AOD) issue on the Galaxy Z Fold 7's external screen.
LockStar is loved for its ability to customize the lock screen and AOD beyond the default settings of One UI. Users can change the position and size of the clock, widgets, notifications, and many other interactive elements, creating a beautiful and convenient lock screen without the need for a third-party application.

The new update fixes a bug that prevents widgets and stickers from being applied to the AOD of the Galaxy Z Fold 7's external screen, and fixes the issue of the brightness adjustment bar not working properly. In addition, Samsung also addresses a bug that exists on all Galaxy models running One UI 8 related to the lock screen widget.
With these improvements, users can continue to customize their lock screen smoothly, without any annoying bugs. The update is being released via the Galaxy Store to all eligible devices.
One UI 8 is now officially available on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE. Betas have also been released for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, with plans to expand to the stable version from September, while most other devices will receive it in October.
