Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch three new foldable smartphones at its Summer Unpacked event this year: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Z Fold Wide, and the Z Flip 8. In a departure from previous years, the tech giant is introducing an entirely new "Wide" variant, expanding the choices within its foldable lineup.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 recently surfaced on China's 3C certification database, revealing support for standard 25W fast charging. Now, its larger siblings, the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold Wide, have also made an appearance on the same platform, shedding light on their power specs.

Specifically, two models carrying the identifiers SM-F9710 and SM-F9760—believed to be the Chinese variants of the Z Fold Wide and Z Fold 8—were spotted. The certification indicates that both devices support a maximum charging output of 15V and 3A, which translates to a brisk 45W fast charging.
As the 3C database exclusively logs wired charging capabilities, these figures pertain solely to cable charging. This marks a significant upgrade from last year's Galaxy Z Fold 7, which was capped at 25W, giving the new models a substantial boost.
Meanwhile, the Z Flip 8 appears to remain stuck at the legacy 25W mark. This discrepancy highlights Samsung's strategy of creating a clearer distinction between its premium book-style foldables and the more accessible clamshell line.
Bumping the wired charging speed to 45W on the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold Wide should noticeably reduce top-up times, offering a much-needed quality-of-life improvement for power users driving these massive displays.
