Six months after hitting the shelves, the initial media hype surrounding Samsung’s latest flagship has cooled, making way for real-world, objective user reviews. While the camera and lightweight design remain strong selling points, the long-term focus has unexpectedly shifted to the Privacy Display—a feature initially dismissed as a risky gamble.
To gauge the effectiveness of this new tech, Android Authority recently conducted a massive poll, drawing in over 7,000 readers.
The results indicate a resounding success for the South Korean tech giant, shattering early skepticism that the screen would be too dim or cause eye strain. Overall, 44% of respondents reported complete satisfaction with the display quality. Even more telling, when narrowing the results to actual device owners, the approval rating surged to a staggering 68%.

Many owners highlighted the display's exceptional color accuracy. They also noted that the anti-peeping feature works flawlessly on public transit, effectively blocking side angles without the visual discomfort warned about in early negative reviews.
Of course, no new tech pleases everyone. The poll showed that roughly 20.5% of all participants (and 32% of actual owners) disliked the display. Nevertheless, the overwhelming support proves that Samsung's display security solution is on the right track, effectively addressing the growing privacy concerns of today's mobile users.
