Samsung has officially rolled out its July security update for the Galaxy S25 series to patch dozens of system vulnerabilities, just hours after pushing the firmware to its newer flagship models.

The South Korean tech giant is clearly accelerating its software deployment. Fresh off upgrading its smartwatches and the Galaxy S26 trio, Samsung immediately extended the new software package to last year's predecessors: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

The update, weighing in at approximately 600 MB, is currently available to users in South Korea. As is customary, a broader rollout to Vietnam and other global markets is expected in the coming days.

This latest patch is strictly business, focusing entirely on squashing 57 security flaws across the operating system and Samsung's native software. It is designed to fortify the phones and prevent potential remote exploits. Because it is a routine maintenance update, users won't see any tweaks to the user interface or new features. To check for the patch, users can simply navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Samsung’s rapid optimization of its current device lineup is widely seen as laying the groundwork for the highly anticipated One UI 9. This major software overhaul, built on the next generation of Android, is slated for official release on the Galaxy S25 series in the final quarter of this year.
