Samsung has officially rolled out its June 2026 software update for its latest foldable lineup in South Korea, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and the highly anticipated tri-fold smartphone, the TriFold. Users in other global markets can expect the notification to hit their devices in the coming days.
Much like the recent Galaxy S25 update, this is not just a routine security patch. The firmware build for these new foldables features the letter "U"—a clear indicator that new features or significant performance enhancements are on board. While this has been confirmed for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and TriFold, specific details regarding the Flip 7 remain under wraps.
Although an official changelog has yet to be published, it is highly likely that Samsung is bringing missing smart features from the One UI 8.5 interface over to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and TriFold. For context, the June update for the Galaxy S25 series introduced the "Important Notification Summary," a feature notably absent from its initial interface upgrade.
Conversely, the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is receiving a standard security patch, denoted by the "S" in its firmware code. This month’s security release addresses over 40 system vulnerabilities, including critical issues within the Android OS core and Samsung's proprietary background processes.
These next-generation foldables are the latest to receive the June software package, closely following the Galaxy S26 and S25 series. Several other devices from the tech giant are slated for system upgrades shortly. To check for availability, users can navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
