Samsung is simultaneously rolling out public and internal beta programs for its upcoming One UI 9.0 update—based on Android 17—across the Galaxy ecosystem. While the public beta remains strictly exclusive to the latest Galaxy S26 lineup, behind-the-scenes testing is expanding rapidly.

The new operating system is slated for an official debut in late July, with a broader global rollout expected in the following weeks. As is industry standard, the South Korean tech giant is prioritizing its newest devices for the initial software updates before moving down the product stack. The One UI 9 Beta program officially kicked off in mid-May, and as of the third week of June, Samsung has already pushed three beta updates to Galaxy S26 users across six countries.

Running parallel to the public program for its latest flagships, Samsung has significantly widened its internal testing pool. By accelerating software development across multiple product tiers, the company aims to drastically shorten the timeline for the final, stable release.

Currently, 24 Galaxy devices are confirmed to be part of the One UI 9.0 testing phase:
