Samsung poised to roll out One UI 8.5 Beta 4 for Galaxy S25 series this week

Samsung has already deployed three One UI 8.5 Beta builds for the Galaxy S25 lineup, and the fourth iteration is expected to drop as early as this week. This upcoming update focuses primarily on squashing bugs and enhancing system stability, inching the software closer to a final public release.

Recent reports point to a rollout window between January 19 and January 20, 2026, for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Beta participants in eligible markets should keep an eye out for an OTA notification in the coming days.

Beta 4 is expected to address lingering issues from Beta 3, which arrived roughly two weeks ago. Additionally, this build may introduce a newer kernel to deliver smoother animations, improved overall performance, and tighter security.

Looking ahead, Samsung will likely push out two or three more test builds following Beta 4. The stable version of One UI 8.5 is projected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series. The launch event is rumored for late February 2026, with retail availability slated for early to mid-March.

The Galaxy S26 trio will be the first devices to ship with One UI 8.5 out of the box. Furthermore, the new flagship series is expected to boast exclusive features that won't make their way to the Galaxy S25 or older models.
