Samsung is widening the net for its latest software testing, rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta to the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra. This move follows the recent beta release for the flagship Galaxy S25 lineup.

Currently exclusive to users in South Korea, the beta update (build version ZZC3) weighs in at a hefty 3.38GB. It packs the March 2026 security patch, which addresses 67 documented vulnerabilities. Samsung is expected to expand the program to additional markets shortly.

Unlike the S25 series, which has seen a rapid succession of beta updates, the Tab S11 will likely undergo fewer testing rounds. This is largely due to the tablets' smaller user base and different system optimization requirements.

Ready to test drive the new software? Users can enroll directly through the Samsung Members app. As a standard precaution, testers are strongly advised to back up their data and ensure their device is running the latest stable firmware to minimize potential hiccups.

How to get the update:

  • Open the Samsung Members app.

  • Locate and tap the One UI 8.5 Beta banner.

  • Hit register and agree to the terms and conditions.

  • Navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Once completed, the device will pull the beta update over-the-air (OTA) like a standard patch. However, given that this is pre-release software, users should avoid installing it on their daily drivers, as bugs and system instability are to be expected.
