Samsung continues to roll out the November 2025 security patch to more Galaxy devices, and the latest models to receive it are the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Although both models are no longer part of Samsung’s monthly update program, the company still provides quarterly patches to ensure a stable and secure user experience.
The update is currently available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in South Korea, while the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has started receiving it in India and South Korea. Other markets, including the United States, are expected to follow soon. The firmware version for this release is KYK1.
Focused entirely on security, the November 2025 patch does not introduce any new features. Instead, it addresses 45 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and their partners. These include a critical “out-of-bounds write” issue affecting the fingerprint security system and an unsafe configuration related to USB connection mode.
Launched in August 2021, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 recently received their final major OS upgrade — Android 15 with One UI 7. While they will no longer get new features, the continued quarterly security updates help protect the devices against emerging threats and keep long-term performance steady.
Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it’s not yet available, waiting a few more days or watching for system notifications is recommended.
