Samsung has officially rolled out a new software update for its flagship Galaxy S26 lineup. Following an initial release in South Korea last week, the rollout has now expanded to other global markets, starting with India, with a broader reach expected in the coming days.
The latest firmware, carrying the version number S94xBXXS2AZCL, is available for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. Its primary focus is fortifying device security by bundling the April 2026 security patch.
Leading up to the release, widespread rumors suggested the update would address ongoing quality issues with the 3x telephoto camera across all three models. However, those hoping for a quick fix may be disappointed. There is currently no official confirmation of these camera enhancements. Tellingly, the default Camera app version remains unchanged, strongly indicating that a camera upgrade has been left out of this patch.
The camera issue—where users reported slightly blurry images when using the 3x optical zoom—has been a known pain point. The glitch was previously raised on the Samsung Community forums, where moderators acknowledged the problem and promised a fix in an upcoming release. Based on what is included in the current firmware, it appears users will have to wait a little longer for that resolution.
Galaxy S26 owners in supported regions can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, a simple restart will complete the installation process.
