On Android 16 with One UI 8, Samsung is bringing a small but useful upgrade to the Galaxy S25 series: the Boost Dialogue feature is now available directly in the quick panel.
Boost Dialogue is a familiar feature on Galaxy devices, which enhances the mid-range, especially the voice, so that users can clearly hear dialogue or lyrics in a noisy environment. Previously, to enable Boost Dialogue, users had to go to Settings, select Sound and vibration, then go deep into the Sound quality and effects section. This made this feature less known and used.
However, with One UI 8 on Android 16, activating Boost Dialogue has become much more convenient. Now, you just need to swipe down from the top edge of the screen to open the quick panel, press and hold the volume bar, and the Boost Dialogue option will appear immediately.
The inclusion of Boost Dialogue in the quick controls is a small change that can make a big difference in your day-to-day listening experience, especially when watching movies or making video calls in noisy environments.
While One UI 8 isn’t as big of an upgrade as One UI 7, it’s clear that Samsung is paying more attention to the small details to improve the overall user experience. The company has yet to announce a release date for the stable One UI 8 update for eligible devices. More details are expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9.
