A new One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra has just been leaked, revealing a series of interesting tweaks. Among them, the adaptive lock screen clock feature (Adaptive Clock) - which was first introduced in One UI 8.0 - has been greatly improved by Samsung, making the interface more vivid and sophisticated.

Previously, the watch could only automatically adjust the size, position, and display direction when detecting people or animals in the wallpaper, but with One UI 8.5, the system can now recognize all types of objects. This means that the watch will automatically "avoid" prominent details in the photo - such as buildings, vehicles, or objects - to display more harmoniously on the lock screen. This information was shared by famous leaker @UniverseIce on X (Twitter).

According to initial testing, the feature is still in the final stage, so it may sometimes misidentify objects in some wallpapers. However, this is completely understandable for internal testing software. The One UI 8.5 version is expected to officially launch in early 2026 with the Galaxy S26 series, after the beta phase ends.

Users who love the early experience can register to participate in the One UI 8.5 Beta testing program at the end of November. This will be an opportunity for the Galaxy user community and Samsung to refine and complete the final details for the next major update.
