One UI 8 Beta has officially arrived for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, marking a new step in Samsung's update roadmap. After being released for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy A55, A54, A35, and A36 yesterday, the two foldable models launched in 2023 have now been added. The Galaxy Tab S10 is also expected to join the testing program soon.
In Korea, users can already register for the One UI 8 Beta through the Samsung Members app to experience the new interface based on Android 16 early. In just a few hours, the program will also expand to India, the UK, and the US. In addition to the Fold 5 and Flip 5, the One UI 8 Beta is now available for the Galaxy S25, S24, Z Fold 6, and Flip 6. Samsung confirmed that the stable version will be released in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series and possibly including the S25 Edge, and then expanding widely from October.

The highlight of One UI 8 is the integration of Galaxy AI on more devices. Smart features make work and daily life more convenient, along with upgrades in support tools, the ability to closely connect with Galaxy tablets and wearables, and more options to personalize the interface, lock screen, and widgets. Samsung also tweaked the transition effects, providing a smoother and more intuitive experience.
This update not only brings changes in features but also aims for stability and long-term support. Samsung is expanding its software update policy to more devices, including TVs and smart home appliances, demonstrating its ambition to build a synchronized Galaxy ecosystem. Users can expect the stable version of One UI 8 to be officially released this month.
