Samsung is preparing to roll out the stable One UI 8 update to eligible devices in August. However, before that happens, the company is still releasing the latest security patches for many devices, and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is one of them.

According to the account @ya_sking12767 on X, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE in Korea has started receiving the July 2025 security update with software version X510XXS8CYG1, about 311MB in size. It is likely that other markets will also receive the update next week.
This security patch package includes more than 40 fixes from Samsung, Google, and partners. Among them are 21 serious Android vulnerabilities, one critical vulnerability, and several issues related to the Exynos chip. The update also fixes 17 Samsung-specific security vulnerabilities that affect Galaxy devices, including phones, tablets, and wearables. Notable features include a fix for a Wi-Fi password leak on tablets, improved KnoxVault security, and syncing with the Galaxy Watch.
If you're using a Galaxy Tab S9 FE outside of Korea, check Settings > Software Update. If a new patch is available, just download and install it as usual. Regular updates will help keep your device safer from new security threats.
Note that this update is still running on One UI 7. Samsung has not yet announced a release date for One UI 8 based on Android 16 for older devices, although a stable version has appeared on new foldable models launched earlier this month. With a four-version upgrade roadmap, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is sure to receive One UI 8 and even One UI 9 in the future.
