Samsung has just expanded the One UI 8 update roadmap for Galaxy devices, and now it's the turn of the Galaxy Tab S8 series to get the update. After releasing it for the Galaxy M55, the company has started rolling out the update in South Korea, before expanding it to other markets in the near future.

The Android 16-based One UI 8 is now available for the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra, with firmware code EYJ4 for the Wi-Fi version and JYJ4 for the 5G version. The installation size is around 3.5GB, which may vary depending on the model. Users can check manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Due to the large size, Samsung recommends downloading over a stable Wi-Fi connection and ensuring the battery is above 30% before proceeding with the update.

One UI 8 brings a series of improvements in performance, design, and artificial intelligence. Based on the Galaxy AI platform, the new version helps Galaxy Tab S8 models operate more smoothly, better supporting work, creativity, and entertainment. The interface is more modern, the transition effects are smoother, and the widgets are redesigned to display optimally on large screens.

Notably, this will be the last major operating system upgrade for the Galaxy Tab S8, meaning the device will not receive One UI 9 or higher versions of Android. However, the device will still be updated to One UI 8.5 next year with many Galaxy AI features, improved performance, and enhanced security.
