
Samsung's top-tier Galaxy S24 Ultra has made an early appearance on Geekbench running Android 17, showing a slight improvement in multi-core processing power.
The benchmark listing for the global variant (model number SM-S928B) reveals the device being tested with the upcoming One UI 9 interface. Equipped with 12GB of RAM, the smartphone scored 2,197 in the single-core test and 7,097 in the multi-core test.

While single-core performance remains largely unchanged—meaning no massive leap in raw power—the improved multi-core score suggests that Samsung's new software algorithms are better optimizing how the processor's cores work together. This update seems geared toward smarter hardware management, which should translate to smoother performance during heavy-duty tasks and complex multitasking.
Rather than cramming in a host of new features, One UI 9 reportedly focuses on refining the core user experience. The update aims to improve UI consistency, smooth out transition animations, and tweak system blur effects, all designed to make daily swipes and taps feel more seamless and responsive.
Currently, the One UI 9 Beta program is exclusive to the newer Galaxy S26 series. However, older flagships like the S24 are expected to join the roster soon. The stable version of One UI 9, based on Android 17, will likely be officially unveiled on July 22, coinciding with the launch of Samsung's next-generation foldable phones.
