Samsung has just started rolling out the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy A25 series in Europe. This is the first batch of devices in the fourth global expansion, expected to soon reach users in other regions this week.

For the Galaxy S22 series, this is the fourth and final major OS update, bringing a more modern Android experience with a refined interface, significantly improved performance, and a series of new AI features that increase personalization and support for users in daily operations.

The update for the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra has the code S908BXXUIGYI7, a capacity of more than 3.1GB, and comes with the September 2025 security patch. Users can download it directly via OTA by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A25 has also started receiving One UI 8.0 in Europe with the code A256BXXU8DYI8. Although it doesn't have the full AI features of the flagships, the update still brings many improvements to the user interface, system performance, and multitasking experience.

Samsung confirmed that One UI 8.0 will continue to be expanded globally in the coming days. While the Galaxy S22 series will no longer receive Android 17 (One UI 9), the company still plans to bring One UI 8.5 in 2026 — the version introduced with the Galaxy S26, promising deeper improvements in design and features.
