The Galaxy A35 is likely to join the One UI 8 Beta program soon, after the first test version based on Android 16 was recently discovered on Samsung's servers.

Earlier this month, Samsung announced plans to expand the One UI 8 Beta program not only to the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series but also to the Galaxy A series. Among them, the Galaxy A35 is one of the first mid-range devices on the support list. A recent leak from leaker Tarun Vats shows that the first test version with firmware code A356EXXU5ZYH4 has appeared, revealing that the update will be released soon, right on schedule in September 2025.

Compared to One UI 7, One UI 8 is not a huge "transformation", but still brings many notable features. These include an improved split-screen mode, a new Now Bar with more tab support, a redesigned Quick Share, an improved Secure Folder, and a new version of Samsung DeX.

However, it's worth noting that not all of these features will be available on all devices. With mid-range models like the Galaxy A35, Samsung may tweak and reduce some functions to suit the hardware.
