Comparing One UI 7 AI features on Galaxy S23, S24, and S25

 

Samsung has been gradually bringing artificial intelligence (AI) to its Galaxy smartphones over the past few years, culminating in the Galaxy AI suite of features first introduced on the Galaxy S24 series. Since then, Samsung has started bringing these AI features to older devices through One UI updates. With the One UI 7.0 update, Samsung continues to expand its AI ecosystem across a variety of Galaxy devices.

However, not all Galaxy AI features are supported equally across devices. The level of support depends on the chipset and AI processing power (NPU) of each device. In this article, we will review the Galaxy AI features supported on the three product lines: Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S25, as well as the features that are only available on higher models.

Galaxy AI features available on the Galaxy S23, S24, and S25

  1. Call Assist/Live Translate: Real-time two-way language translation during voice calls. Users can speak in their native language, and the other party will hear the translation while the content is displayed on the screen.
  2. Writing Assist: Compose content according to the desired context and tone, automatically translate, suggest responses, and improve syntax and message layout.
  3. Interpreter: Support live conversations between two people in two different languages, ideal for traveling or meeting international partners.
  4. Note Assist: Automatically categorize, title, create a table of contents, shorten or translate notes, making the content easier to follow.
  5. Transcript Assist: Converts voice in audio recordings to text. Can identify and distinguish between multiple speakers.
  6. Browsing Assist: Summarizes long web pages, helps translate and reformat content for easier reading.
  7. Photo Assist: Rotate, crop, change background, move, or erase objects with intuitive AI technology.
  8. Drawing Assist: Turn simple hand sketches into full AI images with Sketch-to-Image.

Features only supported on Galaxy S24 and S25

  1. Photo Ambient Wallpaper: Animates wallpapers based on real-time weather conditions and time of day.
  2. Health Assist: Provides personalized recommendations for sleep, energy levels, and lifestyle habits.
  3. Audio Eraser: Removes background noise from videos to improve audio quality. Originally exclusive to Galaxy S25, now updated to Galaxy S24 via One UI 7.0 beta.

Galaxy S25-exclusive feature

  1. Now Brief: A daily summary of information including schedules, weather, news, traffic, and action suggestions. It is considered a “comprehensive personal assistant” that helps users start their day easily.

While the Now Brief is currently only available on the Galaxy S25 series, multiple sources suggest that Samsung may bring this feature to the Galaxy S24 in the upcoming stable One UI 7.0 update. This expansion may also apply to 2024 flagships, such as the Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Tab S10 series. We will update you as soon as we have relevant information.
